Jazz Fest SOLD OUT!
Thanks to all who made Jazz Fest and the Oldies Beach Dance an overwhelming success. Plans are already being made for February and March of 2021. DON'T MISS OUT!
The 17th Annual Jazz Fest is coming up on Tuesday, February 4! For those of you who have attended in the past or are new to Jazz Fest, we’ll be heading over to the Sandbar Restaurant Wedding Pavilion on the beach in Anna Maria again this year. Many thanks to the Sandbar Restaurant owner, Ed Chiles, for donating his property for this event. We’re scheduled for Tuesday, February 4 and will start at 3 and wrap things up around 5.
In addition to the Gulf Drive Duo, with Diane Lyons on vocals and yours truly on vocals, flutes and saxes, we’ll welcome back Koko Ray as one of our guest soloists. Koko is an outstanding vocalist and plays two saxes at the same time! He has been a Jazz Fest guest performer for many years and always presents a first-class performance.
This year, we are also fortunate to have Matt Coates return as a guest soloist. Matt is a local vocalist and keyboardist from Bradenton. He works at many of the finer country clubs, restaurants and private parties in our area. Matt sings and plays a full variety of music from the 40s to 2000s. It should be a great show.
Jazz Fest tickets are available online at the Anna Maria Island Concert Chorus and Orchestra web site or by contacting the AMI Chamber of Commerce, 5313 Gulf Drive, Holmes Beach. Tickets are $10 in advance of Feb. 4. After music expenses, all proceeds go to the Anna Maria Island Concert Chorus and Orchestra.
Looking further down the road, the 10th Annual Oldies Beach Dance is on March 10 at the same location and time. We are thrilled to have the same talented guest soloists as we do for Jazz Fest. Bring your dancin’ shoes to the Oldies Beach Dance!
